Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Cuphead Party

My stepson wanted a cuphead theme birthday party this year.  It was a fun challenge.  I really didn’t see much out there. I didn’t even see much on Pinterest! What the?!??! I had to use my own brain.  I believe these mugs are about the best idea ever for a cuphead party.

The mugs were just plain white coffee mugs I purchased (stacking coffee mugs)from World Market.

i purchased paint pens off Amazon since the article I read said to use that type for what I needed.  I needed to not only design but to also have them be used for mug cakes.  Mug cakes?  Yep.

My idea was to have the kids each have not only a make your own individual cake, but also a great keepsake from the party .

Here is what I did-

1) use paint pens to make design and let dry.

2) Put mugs on a baking sheet.  I did ten at a time.

3) Put the baking sheet and mugs in oven and turn oven on to 350f.  Set timer for 30 minutes.

4) Let cool for 20 minutes.

Ok they are ready!!!

If you are doing the mug cake idea go to next part.

What we did is buy your favorite mug cake mix.  We did funfetti.  I bought frosting pouches, sprinkles, m & m’s, strawberries and whip cream.  The options are unlimited haha.

My next post about the party will be details about party.  Budget, ideas and food.  Again the mugs were beyond a hit
